Position-Gig -- Costume designer/supervisor for short film
Person-Company -- Loretta Hintz
Dates -- Several hours before shoot, and tentative shoot dates of 2/1-2/3
Hours -- 40
Pay -- Unpaid
email -- lavigne789@yahoo.com
Description -- We are looking for a costume designer for the short film "The Sheep and The Ranch Hand; a SexyQueer Love Story." The main design/creation effort will be for the sexy sheep costume, but there will be a couple of other costumes as well which can be put together using purchased articles of clothing.
In addition to your design work, you would also be the Costume Supervisor on the actual shoot.
There will be three shoot days, probably on a weekend. This is flexible.
Shooting will take place in the latter part of January/early February.
Following is a description of the film:
Welcome to a sexy, comedic love story of a woman discovering the joys of imagining that she is a Sheep. In being her bestial self, she experiences a freedom that is both unexpected and profoundly empowering. While at times tongue-in-cheek, this film also has an underlying serious theme of personal freedom.
In animalistic pleasures both simple (eating delicious clover) and sublimely erotic (having her fleece combed and de-burred, and more), she revels in adventures with her adoring lover, the Ranch Hand. Her journey takes her from loneliness to liberation through connecting with her internal truth. The script is funny, sexy, and real, and has received very positive feedback.
You get: daily stipend, credit, exposure, connections, DVD, good food, good folks, good film for your reel. I am a very aggressive marketer so this film will get a lot of exposure.
Please see our website at
sheeplovestory.webs.com
Requirements -- Experience designing and sewing an outfit. If you've been on a film set before, fab, but if not, that's okay. This will be a GREAT learning experience.

Position-Gig -- Actors: Sheep and Ranch Hand
Person-Company -- P Lavigne
Dates -- Auditions 11/27, shoot within a week or two after
Hours -- around 25
Pay -- Unpaid
Email -- lavigne789@yahoo.com
Description -- Sheep and Ranch Hand: a sexy queer love story
I'm making a short film (5-6 minutes) and am casting for two roles. I am a female film producer/editor who makes industrial/corporate videos for a living, and has had her more creative, fun films in festivals around the globe. There is no pay unfortunately, but you do get: credit, DVD, good food, good folks, good film.
This is a love story of a woman discovering the joys of imagining that she is a Sheep, having adventures with her loving Ranch Hand. It is a quirky, funny, and in places sexy script that has received very positive feedback.
Here are the two roles I need to cast:
1. Woman-As-Sheep: physically small-to-medium-ish woman. This is a star role allowing for a lot of very expressive acting. Excellent for a reel. Actor should be very comfortable in her body and somewhat athletic as she will be doing a lot of leaping and bounding. Woman-As-Sheep is new to the joys of sheep-dom, but finds herself a natural. She absolutely loves being a sheep! She is deeply in love with her Ranch Hand, who treats her with chocolate and the best clover around.
2. Handsome Ranch Hand: butch woman or FTM, taller than Sheep. Loves Sheep more than anything in the world. Hardworking ranch hand by day, who looks forward to evenings relaxing and romping with Sheep, pampering her, and enjoying all her fleecy silky softness.
Requirements -- Professional acting experience not required (but welcome). What is needed is that you be playful and uninhibited in front of the camera, and able to identify with your role. (So, when I direct you to "cavort like a sheep" or „rest in the doorway looking like a tired but happy ranch hand‰ you have an idea in your head of what that looks like and can draw on some inner inspiration).
There is a bed scene (R-rated, no nudity required) so actors will need to be comfortable with that. I can discuss more at length with anyone who's interested in auditioning.
There will be two shoot days, either on an upcoming weekend, or if people are available, on two upcoming weekdays. One rehearsal before the shoot. I think we're set for crew but if you know anyone interested, give 'em my contact info. Thanks!
